Damaged or Diseased Tree? Call the Tree Warden!

With the heavy rains there are sometimes heavy winds; and winds can damage older or weaker trees. 

If you see a storm damaged tree on or next to a public road, reach out to the Westhampton Tree Warden, Tom Jenkins.  Tom can determine

  • Whether a tree can be saved, and
  • What actions are best taken to preserve the tree, or
  • Whether the tree must be removed.

Remember that no person (including staff of the Westhampton Highway Department) may cut or trim ANY tree in the public way without first obtaining permission and direction from the Tree Warden (ref: Westhampton Bylaw, Section 7-7-1).
