Master Plan Implementation Committee

With funds received through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program the Town completed its first Master Plan and a revised Open Space & Recreation Plan.  The Master Plan was completed in 2023 with the input of residents, working groups, town boards, and town staff.

The Resilient Westhampton Master Plan received the 2023 Comprehensive Planning Award from the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Association.  Selectboard member Susan Bronstein and Master Plan Project Manager Teri Anderson attended the annual awards luncheon on December 8, 2023 to accept the award on behalf of the town.

At its December 20, 2023 meeting, the Selectboard established the Master Plan Implementation Committee, and charged the committee to assist town boards, committees, departments and staff with review and implementation of all recommended strategies and goals of the plan.
