When does the street sweeper start sweeping winter sand from the roads in springtime?

Usually the street sweeper is expected in town around the second week of April, depending on the weather of course. Residents are reminded that they may remove the accumulated winter sand from the edge of their lawns abutting the road, onto the edge of the paved roadway to be picked up by the sweeper. Please leave it in in a windrow, not piles, as piles are difficult to pick up with the sweeper. Also, no leaves or sticks. If you don't get the edge of your lawn cleaned before your street is swept it is your responsibility to pick it up as we cannot keep skipping around town to pick up individual areas.
