The Hampshire County Food Policy Council is a network of people who envision a resilient community-owned regional food system where all people are empowered to live more joyful and gratifying lives through access to affordable, healthy, locally grown food of their choice. Meetings are open to all who share our vision.
Two launch events are being planned: January 18 and January 25. The January 18 event will provide you with basic information and answer your questions about the Hampshire County Food Policy Council. The January 25 event will be an opportunity for those who are interested in joining the council to learn about their options for participation and connect more deeply with others who are eager to participate.
Since the January 18 event is more informational, it will be recorded and the recording will be shared over this email list and with people who register for either launch event through Eventbrite. Sine the January 25 event will be more of a "working meeting," it will not be recorded.
If you wish to join the Food Policy Council even if you can't or didn't attend the launch events, express your interest in joining the food policy council at any time by visiting our website and filling out our Network Interest Form.
The Food Policy Council (FPC) encourages anyone interested in being a part of the FPC to complete TWO trainings: Sociocracy and Implicit Bias. The FPC is committed to the growth of individuals and communities, and these trainings will support both! You can either do the trainings on your own time or join a group training.
Stay tuned for another email that will include all info you will need to access these trainings.
